  • Lockdown means LOCKDOWN! Avoid going out unless absolutely necessary. Stay safe!
  • There is no evidence that hot weather will stop the virus! You can! Stay home, stay safe.

When and how will the lockdown open?

When and how will the lockdown open?

When and how will the lockdown open?
Lockdown Stay home
Before the answer to this question, take a look at these statements from the state governments of the past:

"We have no choice. The lockdown must continue. I appeal to the Honorable Prime Minister that the lockdown be continued even after April 15. There is no need to hesitate."

Appeal for lockdown.

K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister, Telangana
"The media was going on for the last few days that the lockdown can increase after April 14, in view of this, people have increased sensitivity. It cannot be said right now what will happen after April 14. Not a single case in our state If left, it will not be appropriate to open the lockdown. "

Avneesh Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh
"The Center has sought suggestions from the states, states should take a decision on this by looking at the situation here. Rajasthan was the first state to lockdown."

Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister, Rajasthan
"Maharashtra government is considering opening the lockdown in different areas in a phased manner."

Rajesh Tope, Health Minister, Government of Maharashtra
"If the lockdown opens on 14 April or 20 April and Assamese young men and women who stop outside Assam return to the state together, it will not be possible to send them all on 14 days quarantine because the government has so much to quarantine. The system is not currently available. "

Himanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister, Assam
All these statements are of the Chief Ministers and officials of all the big states of the country. It is clear from all these statements that the lockdown will not open simultaneously after April 14 across the country.

Some state governments are also in favor of imposing certain restrictions on their own behalf.

Then how will this lockdown open?

When and how will the lockdown open?

What is the government's blueprint? The BBC spoke to AIIMS director Randeep Guleria on this. Randeep Guleria is also the head of one of the 11 committees created by the government for Kovid-19.

Where will the lockdown take place?
According to Dr. Guleria, the lockdown cannot be removed for the time being in the hotspot areas where the rate of increase of corona infection is still double daily.

This will also not be possible, because removing the lockdown there will mean a quick increase of the patients of Kovid-19.

In places where no corona cases have been reported till date. There we can remove the lockdown gradually.

There are a total of 274 such districts in the whole country, where corona patients have been found so far. There are more than 700 districts across the country.

In such a situation, after April 14, about 450 districts can be relaxed in lockdown.

On what basis will the government decide?

When and how will the lockdown open?

So far, more than 4000 cases of corona infection have been reported across the country. According to a report, currently we are doubling the number of patients every fifth day.

The Central Government has said many times that this pace would have been slower if such a large number of patients did not come out of the tabulating Jamaat Markaz.

The government will have to focus more on some subjects before making any decision on lockdown.

If Dr. Guleria believes, the government will make its decision keeping in mind 4 issues.

First - how big an impact will the economy have on the lockdown going forward. Will the government be able to compensate for it further?

Second - will the opening of lockdown play with the health of a large population?

Third - Government questions will also have to be linked with the decision of the lockdown. How far forward or end the lockdown is impacting India's export-import, relations with other countries and the country's remaining industry.

Fourth - conditions of poor immigrant laborers. How much the government has been able to reach them. What are their problems and is the government fully able to resolve them.

This is the reason why the Center has also sought suggestions from the state governments on the lockdown. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi will talk to different political parties and discuss this subject with them.

How to remove lockdown?
According to Dr. Randeep Guleria, there are only two ways to remove the lockdown. The first method is to remove the lockdown in graded or phased manner.

The second way is to completely resume normal life in some areas, where not a single corona patient has appeared yet.

Dr. Randeep talks in favor of removal of graded lockdown.

According to him, the complete lockdown can be removed only in those areas where not a single case has been exposed. But this does not seem possible for India.

According to them, there will also be a danger that people from other infected or affected areas should not go there.

The government will need to monitor the movement of people from such areas. Therefore, they believe that the government will have to deal with the hotspot differently and the non-hotspot area differently.

'Hotspot' means those areas of the country where more cases have been reported in comparison to other areas.

The Health Ministry has identified these hotspots and has also chalked out a special strategy to control the situation so as to avoid the possibility of community transmission from here.

Corona virus lockdown
Some of these hotspots are Delhi (Nizamuddin and Dilshad Gardens), Noida, Meerut, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Kasaragod and Pathanamthitta.
When and how will the lockdown open

These hotspots, however, seem to be changing every day and with changing circumstances.

In graph we also see the visual of highest no patient at a glance. The darkest red show the highest no. and the lighter colour shows the lesser no.
Hence, In map the highest no. lies in the southern part of INDIA, which is relatively hotter than the northern part.
